SINGAPORE – Jin from K-pop boy band BTS has released a teaser for his upcoming music video, which includes a scene filmed at National Gallery Singapore.

It is for his song Don’t Say You Love Me, one of the tracks from his second solo EP Echo, which is set to be released on May 16.

In the 37-second teaser, which dropped on May 13, the 32-year-old South Korean singer is seen walking on a bridge at the arts museum, home to the world’s largest public collection of South-east Asian modern art. The camera then cuts to a shot of his co-star, South Korean actress Shin Se-kyung, and the pair then face each other.

A series of photos featuring locations in Singapore was also used by the oldest member of BTS for an online campaign to promote Echo. Fans who unlocked the code on the website dialj.in/phone were treated to images that included the Singapore Flyer and Gardens by the Bay.

BTS’ Instagram page also includes posts promoting Don’t Say You Love Me that feature photos of the Marina Bay skyline and the Singapore Flyer.

Echo comprises seven songs and is the follow-up to Jin’s debut solo EP Happy, released in November 2024.

To promote both EPs, he will embark on his first global solo tour, the RunSeokjin Ep. Tour. It kicks off on June 28 in Goyang, South Korea, and ends on Aug 10 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Jin is the latest international music star to film music videos in Singapore in recent years. In February, British band Coldplay released Man In The Moon (2024), which features scenes filmed at Marina Bay and Fort Canning.

Other artistes who have filmed here as part of a collaboration with the Singapore Tourism Board include American singers Billie Eilish and Charlie Puth, American band OneRepublic and Hong Kong-born star Jackson Wang.
